An acronym that stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Aesthetic Ceramics, the CEREC 3D system integrates a computer, a camera and a milling machine into a single instrument. Drawing on the power of CAD/CAM technology (that is, computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing), our expert cosmetic dentists are able to create and apply an exact dental restoration appliance right there in the room with you.

Your dentist first takes an accurate picture of the damaged tooth with a specialized camera. This image is then projected on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD technology to manipulate the image and design the materials necessary for the repair. While you wait, CEREC 3D’s computer-aided manufacturing technology creates the custom-designed restoration. Within an hour, the appliance is fabricated and bonded to your damaged tooth.
